Admission to an inpatient hospice is a major change for everyone involved and raises many questions for those seeking help. That’s why we are here to help you with the necessary formalities in advance.
Hospice: For most people, this is new at first. Patients in need of help in particular are confronted with a new environment, new people and a new phase of life. This can be frightening and stressful. Our team is there for you to ensure that everything runs smoothly and as carefree as possible during the preparation phase and on the day you move in.
“Letting go of things does not mean getting rid of them. Letting them go means leaving them in existence.”

Registration and admission requires a need for hospice care, which must be certified by a medical certificate. Further requirements relate to the illness in detail.
Patients suffer from an illness that…
- can no longer be adequately covered by outpatient care
- does not require hospital treatment within the meaning of § 39 SGB V
- can only be cared for inadequately or no longer at all in the context of inpatient accommodation in a nursing home for the elderly
- is progressive and has already reached an advanced stage and can only be expected to have a limited life expectancy of weeks or a few months
- there is no longer any prospect of a cure and palliative medical treatment is necessary and/or desired by the patient
Unfortunately, it can happen that there is no space available in the inpatient hospice. In this case, we will be happy to advise you on your options and also offer the option of a non-binding waiting list.
