Giving the day more life …

Our home is a private, precious place. This is also where most of us want to spend our last years as self-determined and pain-free as possible. However, many people need help in order to be well cared for. As the team of the outpatient hospice and palliative care service, we try to meet the wishes of patients and their relatives. We want to support seriously ill and dying people in maintaining their quality of life and individuality. Outpatient hospice work: that means specialist knowledge, competent advice and support. But above all, a sympathetic ear and a caring word.

“We can’t change the wind, but we can change the sails.”

… LIVING AT HOME UNTIL THE END

We provide advice and care in the outpatient palliative work of Hospiz Elias in the Ludwigshafen, Altrip and Neuhofen area. In close cooperation with general practitioners and specialists as well as outpatient care services, we support and accompany patients in their home environment or in a nursing home.

We also offer special advice and support for relatives and families of choice. After all, dealing with and caring for a seriously ill or dying loved one is also about your own well-being and the inner processes of saying goodbye.

Important to us is

  • aligning our services with the needs of patients and their relatives
  • improving patients’ quality of life through professional, individual support
  • qualified training and further education for our staff and volunteers to ensure continuous learning
  • strengthening hospice and palliative care as an alternative to active euthanasia
