The Elias inpatient hospice is looking for a full-time or part-time health and nursing assistant (m/f/d) or geriatric nursing assistant (m/f/d) to join our team on October 1, 2024.

With the guiding principle “LIFE… A LIFE LONG.”, the Elias Hospice, a facility of St. Dominikus Krankenhaus und Jugendhilfe GmbH based in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, supports people with serious, incurable illnesses. Outpatient and inpatient. Around 34 employees and a strong team of volunteers pursue the goal of providing patients with the best possible quality of life, dignity and participation.

• As a qualified healthcare and nursing assistant (m/f/d) or geriatric nursing assistant (m/f/d), you will accompany our patients and take into account the specific features of hospice care
• You will assist with care planning and documentation and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team to provide the best possible support for patients
• As a contact person for patients and their relatives, you demonstrate empathy on a daily basis
• You are involved in quality assurance measures

• Completed training as a healthcare and nursing assistant (m/f/d) or geriatric nursing assistant (m/f/d) will help you to care for our patients in need of palliative care
• Professional experience in palliative care is an advantage, but not essential
• You are committed, enjoy working in a team and responsible multidisciplinary care for our patients, who we accompany on their journey
• In your day-to-day work, you recognize priorities even in stressful situations and share our commitment to the highest quality of palliative nursing care
• Culturally and LGBTI*-sensitive care is important to you You are willing to undergo further training on the relevant topics
• You identify with the goals of a church organization
