When Manuel Herz was planning the new synagogue in Mainz, he was moved by an original idea: he wanted to create architecture that would bring a long-lost, because destroyed, history of the spiritual world of Judaism to the attention of the people. To this end, he developed his own architectural language.
The lecture explains and explains this idiosyncratic architectural language of Manuel Herz and thus refers to the history of the Jews in the Rhineland and illuminates the spiritual heritage of Judaism.
The event will take place at Hospiz Elias, Steiermarkstr. 12, 67065 Ludwigshafen.
Admission is free! We look forward to seeing you!
